| This was a gift given to me by a mate of mine. It's a Japanese God of Fortune ornament. The problem is this: myself and Mai really don't like it, we find it quite ugly and it really doesn't suit anything we have in our house. That said, we do keep it on show, in the vain hope it will actually bring us fortune (which is unlikely because we've had it for two years now and we're still broke ). What do you think of this ornament? Would you keep it on show if you didn't like it, just because of what it's supposed to mean? Have any of you got ornament/objects you received as gifts from someone? Do you keep them just to please the giver? | |

| You know those cats that are displayed in Asian markets and stuff? The Buddha statues, too? Well, I don't particularly like seeing either of them, but I keep a small Buddha trinket on my desk because of what it's supposed to mean. It extends to this, too, I guess. | |
