Are You Romantic?

Well, are you?

I'm not. I'm trying to be more romantic. Do any of you have any tips?

Unfortunely I'm not romantic but I'm working on it...

I get kind of romantic if I drink a lot of tea. Otherwise, I'm only non-jokingly romantic if I care deeply for a person.

Tea? How does tea make you romantic, babe? I drink loads and all it does it make me feel like I need another, which reminds me.....

Well, if I've had a lot but not too much, my muscles become really relaxed and I get a bit heady, which I find lends itself to romance. If I have too much though, I get cranky and hyper.

Cool! I should see it more like that. It's like smoking for me, tea makes me angry if I don't get enough, and I don't like it when I'm told I can't have another because I've just had one. It just makes me want one even more.

I guess I am, although it certainly took a lot effort to become one

I used to be, before the world chewed me up and spat me out...

Meh, I guess I find it difficult to be romantic these days because of previously bad relationships...I know, it's a feeble excuse, but I tend to get quite uncomfortable.

And you tend to be the kind of person who prefers people to bring the romance to your relationships.

Many a time, I've listened to you whine about other people not doing something you expect them to do, and many times I've told you you have to do those things to get them in return.

That's the problem with most of us. We kind of expect everyone to be the first to do something, like say hello, but when they don't we automatically think they're being ignorant to our feelings, rather than think that they might actually be waiting for us to say hello first too. It's a communication breakdown every time, and it's invading the way we do almost everything, like being romantic. We expect our partners to be the ones to add the romance, but so are they and that's where romance disappears before we realise it.

It's just one of those things...

Yeah I agree with this, we always make up problems that don't exist in our head!

Nope - far from it and probably never will be. The better half respects for it anyway so why try and change - in fact from being quite the romantic herself when i first met her ive molded her into an almost carbon copy of me and my considerations for these romantic gestures and the likes of valentines day

I'm pretty sure I'm more awkward than romantic. I suppose I might feel romantic at times, but who can say?
