The Seasons of Our Lives...

The weather - our main topic of idle chit-chat.

Basically, tell us all your favourite season of the year, your least favourite and (if you want to) what the weather's like where you are.

Here in the UK, it's pissing it down right now and the winds are quite possibly bordering on gale-force...seems we're getting another delightful low pressure front in from Mainland Europe...what sodding jooooy...

It's pretty deceptive over here today. It's sunny as hell, but as soon as you step outside, your running for your duvet cover!

My favourite season though is actually winter, despite how much I moan. I hate being too hot; it's one of my biggest dislikes. I prefer to be able to get warm by choice than be forced to sweat like I've run a marathon in a sauna! I always say, it's easier to get warm than it is to cool down.

Summer! Why you ask... No school!

I agree with Mai...I love the winter, exactly for those reasons.

I hate hate hate hate hate Spring. I want it to die in a fire. It's rainy, and windy, and sucks. Fall is similar, but at least it's tolerable.

I have a high tolerance to cold and hot temperatures, so summer and winter are all right.

Yeah I'm good with both too (prefer heat though).

Well, it's officially warming up over here...damn it all to Hades.

I dunno, I guess my hatred for warmer weather stems from my loathing of large crowds of people...stay with me, I'll explain...

I find that warm/hot weather invariably draws the masses from their homes in DROVES to frolic anywhere in public and, being a reserved chap, I likes my solitude and peace. I can get neither in the warmer months, whereas Autumn and Winter have a certain tranquillity about them...it's soooo much quieter.

Plus, I sweat like a Steelworker once the temperature exceeds 20 degrees centigrade...

Yeah and another thing is that they all decide the sun's appearance means it's all right to consume as much alcohol as they possibly can before they all die of heatstroke and dehydration.

Again, the rebellious "I won't do what you tell me to do" oath, reigns supreme!

You guys are lucky over there.... You know what happened here on Saturday? It snowed. In March! And it stuck, too. The roads were not ready, oh no.

Damn it! I prefer seeing men playing football in the rain! Mind you, with the winter we've just had, it might still rain all through. The weather has a habit of screwing with us here. Such as, last year, we never thought we'd get a summer and then, just when I'd started to celebrate our first summer without it melting the skin off my bones, it bloody hit us.

Like a hill but not big enough to be anything more then a 'bump'. Whats even better is that its 6-form only so we don't have to tolerate brats wrecking our peace and quiet.

Not sure i have one - i guess im more at home with the cold than i am with the heat (in scottish so i guess that much is expected) so perhaps winter but maybe half and half so ill go for the inbetween of Spring for the freshness it makes Scotland and general happy vibe the general public have during it.
